So far, 3 percent of local budgets in Ukraine have been adopted, according to the press-office of the Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance.
As of January 12, there have been approved 356 local budgets, or 3% of the total number. In particular:
- oblast councils - 3 (in Zakarpatie, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kyiv oblasts);
- town councils (of oblast significance) - 21;
- district councils - 32;
- district councils in the towns of oblast significance, borough and village councils - 300.
56 out of 669 local budgets, or 8.4%, are linked to the government budget, due to financial accountability. However, budgets of all local councils listed in Kyiv oblast have been already adopted.
