According to the data from the Ministry of Finance, the Ukraine’s sovereign debt guaranteed by bonds stood at 1,100,563,980,350 hryvnias, or 69,794,848,710 dollars, as of December 31, 2014, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
As of December 31, 2013, the debt guaranteed by government bonds reached 584,369,660 hryvnias, or 73,110,178.91 dollars. Thus, in a year the Ukraine’s debt reduced by 4.5% (or 3,315,330.2 dollars).
In particular, in 2014 the external government debt stood at 611,697,072,980 hryvnias, (55.58% out of total amount), or 38,792,206,020 dollars, while domestic government debt totalled 488,866,907,360 hryvnias (44.42%), or 31,002,642,690 dollars.
The government debt of Ukraine made up 946,819,427,350 hryvnias (86.03% out of total amount), or 60,044,776,920 dollars.
The external government debt stood at 485,815,804,550 hryvnias (44.14% out of total amount), or 30,809,149,840 dollars. The domestic government debt made up 461,003,622,800 hryvnias (41.89% out of total amount), or 29, 235,627,08o dollars.
The government debt of Ukraine reached 153,744,552,990 hryvnias (13.97%), or 9,750,071,790 dollars, including: external government debt – 125,881,268,430 hryvnias (11.44%), or 7,983,056,180 dollars; domestic government debt – 27,863,284,560 hryvnias (2.53%), or 1,767,015,610 dollars.
