Total assets of the National Bank of Ukraine as of January 1, 2015, made up 577.068 billion hryvnias, according to the report on regulator’s financial stability published in the Government Courtier gazette, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
As of January 1, 2014, the NBU’s assets amounted to 417.133 billion hryvnias. Thus, in 2014 its assets grew by 38.34% (or 159.935 billion hryvnias).
At the same time, the bank’s liabilities for the previous year increased from 360.891 billion hryvnias up to 434.563 billion hryvnias, or by 20.41%.
In the accounting period, the NBU’s own capital increased by 56.242 billion hryvnias, up to 142.505 billion hryvnias (2.5 times). As regards the authorized capital, it amounts to 100 million hryvnias compared to the previous year.
Thus, total assets of the NBU equal 577.068 billion hryvnias as of January 1, 2015, as compared to 417.133 billion hryvnias for a similar period of 2014.
