The government of Ukraine is planning a 20% cut-down of civil service clerks, said Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arseny Yatseniuk in his interview with “TSN. Week”, at Channel 1+1 on Sunday, February 15, the press-office of the NBU reports.
The head of the government reminded that 25 thousand government staff were made redundant last year.
This year, according to him, the government is also going to cut down on government service: “What it involves is a 20% staff reduction – approximately 50 thousand employees”.
‘This idea implies reducing the number but raising the quality”, - he said.
Arseny Yatseniuk added that staff redundancy will not entail a pay reduction or decrease in payroll fund: “Those who work well and can work well – will receive a higher salary”.
