A volume of bank deposits in hryvnia in January 2015 was 357.9 billion hryvnias, showing a decrease of 2.2% as compared to the previous month, according to the NBU’s review on core tendencies in the money market of Ukraine for January 2015, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
“Deposits in the local currency decreased by 2.2% - up to 357.9 billion hryvnias in January compared to a month ago”, - the message says.
Total of balances in accounts opened by legal persons decreased by 2% - up to 166.4 billion hryvnias, within a month. Total of balances in accounts opened by natural persons during this period show a decrease of 2.3% - up to 191.5 billion hryvnias.
Deposits placed in foreign currency dropped by 4% - up to 18.7 billion dollars (expressed in dollars) within a month, including legal persons - by 4.6% - up to 5.5 billion dollars, natural persons - by 3.8% - up to 13,2 billion dollars.
