The National Bank of Ukraine prohibits the banks to acquire foreign currencies on behalf of clients till February 27, 2015, inclusive, Resolution of the NBU No.130 On Changes to Some Legislative Documents of the NBU, published on February 24, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
“The authorized banks do not have the right to purchase foreign currencies on behalf of clients (including their applications filed before the resolution comes into force) till February 27, 2015, inclusive”, - the document says.
The Resolution comes into effect today, February 25.
