The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has dismissed Head of the National Financial Inspectorate till the end of the internal investigation, Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arseny Yatseniuk said at the government meeting, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
‘Another decision related to the National Financial Inspectorate is to carry out the internal investigation there. And directly, it’s applied to its Head. To temporary terminate his employment“, - said Yatseniuk.
He underscores that it should be three-issue investigation:
“The first issue is lack of objectivity of financial audit of Antonov Aircraft Scientific and Technical Complex, the management staff of which, according to some findings, could be granted medals, though the company is on the edge of bankruptcy. The second issue is violations made by auditors when making checks of major state-owned companies, the third one is lack of efficient follow-up inspection of the public property and funds, what was to be performed by this governmental body“, - said Yatseniuk.
He is of the opinion that the check will be carried out for two weeks. “I believe that we should pass, among other things, a decision on appointment of a new staff member that will be strong and honest to ensure that oversight and monitoring of the state-owned enterprises is done and use of government funds is traced by the government. And those at fault should be accountable and bear responsibility, but quite the contrary, the government now appears to be a breadwinner of the National Financial Inspectorate”, - said the Prime-Minister.
“We’ll lustrate all. There will be neither insiders nor outsiders. There should be a person who does the work to help protect the state in these tough times and ride out the economic crisis. Or, probably, there might be newcomers adhering to old rules, who will also undergo lustration, will be discharged and brought to justice over criminal offences. We are already dismissing, replacing and bringing to justice”, - said Yatseniuk.
It’s worth noting that Mykola Gordienko is now holding the office of Head of the NFI.
