In Ukraine (excluding the temporary occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city) the core inflation rate stood at 5.4% in February 2015 compared to 2.6% a month ago, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports, with reference to the data from the National Statistics Service.
Meantime, in December 2014, the core consumer price index equalled 8.1%, before February 2014 – 33.2%.
The core inflation is a measure that excludes volatility and seasonal variation in prices, also affected by administrative intervention.
