Head of the national postal services provider Ihor Tkachuk applied with an open letter to the Head of the Deposit Guarantee Fund demanding to assist in solving a paradoxical situation happened with payments made by clients of Delta Bank through Ukrposhta branches, the press-office of Ukrposhta reports.

According to Ihor Tkachuk large amounts of money kept on Ukrposhta’s accounts have been blocked by Delta Bank. Meantime, Ukrposhta has transferred the money to Delta Bank paid by its clients, but the bank, in turn, has not deducted any fees for services provided.

In his letter, the Head of Ukrposhta assures that Delta Bank recommends to “forget” about payment for services rendered, and do not raise this issue when the Bank is under the interim administration, in particular, it is applicable to the money of Ukrposhta blocked on the company’s accounts. Additionally, instead of fulfilling its obligations, Delta Bank has made a claim to transfer all money paid by its clients through Ukrposhta without transferring service fees.

The letter says that to meet this requirement, Ukrposhta tried to make some transactions through its accounts at Delta Bank. But, surprisingly, the interim administration did not approve making any funds transfer demanding to do it from the accounts opened with other banks.

Ihor Tkachuk assures that Ukrposhta, as a state-owned enterprise, cannot provide free services, and applies to the Chief of the Deposit Guarantee Fund to prevent Ukrposhta’s funds from being on “financial hold” and stop blackmailing customers by Delta Bank employees intimidating to impose penalties in view of the situation caused.
