Thus, compared with the figures for a similar period of 2011, the gross national income increased by 13.2% (for the II quarter 2011 – USD 309,547 billion)
In particular, the gross profit last year amounted to UAH 629,013 billion, employees’ wages – USD 795,424 billion, taxes less subsidies on production and imports – USD 204,315 billion, loss in real estate and movables received from other countries except those paid equalled UAH 79,588 billion.
The gross national income (gross domestic product) is one of the main macroeconomic indicators of the activity in the national accounts. It is often used along with the gross domestic product (GDP). However, unlike GDP, which reflects the total value of all goods produced in the country, the gross domestic product reflects the total value of goods made only by its residents regardless of their location.
According to the recommendations issued by the UN on national accounts, the gross national product has been replaced by the gross national income since 1993.
