The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine is elaborating a bill giving more autonomy to healthcare institutions, including the financial sector, said earlier today Minister for Healthcare of Ukraine Alexander Kvitashvili at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, RBK-Ukraine (РБК-Україна) reports.
«The bills we offer are as follows: the first - to change the legal status of healthcare facilities and give them autonomy in management. Today, they obtain all transfers according to the schedule they are accustomed to, they cannot show the income, we know, they have, including the legal income. Today, they cannot cooperate with insurance companies because there is no mechanism for obtaining money from insurance companies. This is a closed system; we want to make the system more open, to enable making money legally. It is applied to budgetary institutions, state-owned enterprises, municipal entities, etc.», said Kvitashvili.
He noted that these decisions will be taken by local authorities.
