In January-May this year the receipts from sale of goods, currencies and valuables to be public property, the government’s income totalled UAH 50.1 million, the press-office of the National Fiscal Service reports.
The majority of government’s revenues including currency conversion receipts and those from sale of valuables equalled UAH 35.1 million.
The yield from sale of seized property was UAH 8.5 mln, three times exceeding the figures for a similar period last year.
Proceeds from the sale of perishable property seized by customs officers for violation of the customs rules, and the property to be returned upon the court decision (has not been claimed by the owner), amounted to UAH 2 mln.
During this period the customs services deducted UAH 2.8 million to the government coffer having sold the goods with the date of customs warehousing being expired and goods placed under the customs regime for refusal in favour of the state.
Besides, the government’s funds were replenished by UAH 1.7 million from the sale of property by the executive services imposing penalties for breach of customs rules, which was not seized directly by the customs officers.
