Today, on September, 22, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission starts working in Ukraine. This mission will initiate the second reconsideration of extended financing program. The Ministry of Finance confirmed that IMG regular mission has started working, RBC-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports.
According to the Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, Ukraine expects to have positive decision on the disbursement of the IMF’s next tranche amounting to USD 1.7 billion
«We expect that we will receive the fifth tranche successfully (including two tranches under Stand-By Arrangement) and continue increasing our reserves», she said in Chicago.
According to the Ministry of Finance, currently the representatives of IMF mission are conducting the kick-off meeting at the Ministry of Finance.
