From September 1, 2015, the government raised the amount of scholarships for students, as it is reported by the press-service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 08 October 2015 №797 on Introduction of Amendments to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. 05 March 2008 №165 stipulates that the amount of minimal ordinary (regular) academic scholarship is:
- for the students of vocational schools – UAH 311 per month;
- for the students of higher educational establishments of I-II accreditation with education and qualification level “Junior specialist” and “Bachelor” – UAH 622 per month;
- for the students of higher educational establishments of III-IV accreditation with education and qualification level “Junior specialist”, “Bachelor” and “Master” – UAH 825 per month;
The amount of social scholarship has also increased from the corresponding date. For the students of vocational schools – orphans and children, deprived of parental care, and the students, which were left without parents at the age between 18-23 years, the scholarship is UAH 961 per month, and for the students of higher educational establishments – UAH 1989 per month.
