The mobile operator “MTS-Ukraine” will operate in the country under the British brand name Vodafone, RBC-Ukraine (РБК-Украина) reports quoting the Vodafone press-service.
“Vodafone and MTS have agreed to extend the strategic partnership agreement on market and expand cooperation in Ukraine, which points at deeper relationships between two companies in the country. Under the new non-incorporated partnership the companies can deploy 3G connectivity and develop a range of new services on the market, using the Vodafone brand name in Ukraine”, - the report says.
The launch of 3G services under the Vodafone brand in Ukraine will be completed within next months. It is noted that sales outlets and dealerships will go under the brand Vodafone. However, the brand will not be used on the territories, which are not controlled by the Ukrainian government.
Within the framework of the new strategic partnership, Vodafone will present a range of its services on the Ukrainian market, which are popular in Europe, including package offers, competitive international calls and roaming.
