The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the norms of the Tax Code with the Law on Natural Gas Market. The corresponding draft law №3073 “On Introduction of Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding Creation of Preconditions for New Model of Gas Natural Market” was endorsed in the first reading by 232 deputies, RBC-Ukraine reports.

The said draft law stipulates the introduction of amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine, which requires bringing to compliance with the norms of the Law of Ukraine “On Natural Gas Market” in connection with the adoption of this law on 09/04/15, the provisions of which are made effective since 01/10/15.

The purpose of adoption of this law is the necessity to bring the Tax Code of Ukraine into compliance with the norms of the Law of Ukraine “On Natural Gas Market”.

“In the Tax Code of Ukraine it is proposed to bring VAT elements, rental fee for subsoil use for extraction of natural gas and collection of additional levy to the current tariff for natural gas for consumers of all forms of property into compliance with the norms of the Law of Ukraine “On Natural Gas Market” by introducing amendments to the articles 187, 252 and paragraph 29 of subsection 10 of section XX of the Tax Code of Ukraine”, - as noted in the explanatory note.

“This draft law is very important. It does not have any political component, this is purely technical document, which will provide an opportunity for tax agency, starting from the 1st of January, to accrue rental fee for all consumers”, noted the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vladimir Demchyshyn, presenting the draft law to the parliamentarians.
