The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) approved the acquisition of major shareholding for owners of five banks, as it is said in decisions of the Committee on Banking Oversight and Regulation, Payment System Oversight, RBC-Ukraine reports.

In particular, the acquisition of major shareholding in the amount of 100% in PJSC “Industrial-Financial Bank” was approved for Vladimir and Tatiana Matitsyna (in the beginning of 2014 the nominal owners were 5 individuals of non-residents). The acquisition of mediated major shareholding in the amount of 100% of PJSC “Bank Credit Dnieper” was approved for Victor Pinchuk (at the beginning of 2015 in the structure of property there was a trust, splitting the property right into beneficiary and legal). The mediated major shareholding in the amount of 100% in PSJC “Taskombank” was approved for Sergii Tyhypko (at the beginning of the current year he was not considered as the owner of major shareholding, as he was not the controller of the legal entity, owning the major shareholding in the bank – Alkemi Limited). The acquisition of the direct major shareholding in the amount of 37.2% in PJSC “Bank Portal” was approved for Ihor Kolosnitsyn, the remaining 62.8% belong to Victoria Efremova. In PJSC “KSG Bank” the acquisition of direct major shareholding in the amount of 66.9205% was approved for Sergei and Ksenia Kasianova (as of the beginning of the year, bank shares were distributed among individuals, neither of whom owned more than 10%).

Vladislav Rashkovan, the deputy chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, in connection with these actions of the regulator, wrote on his page in Facebook: “The owners of 5 banks de jure exposed their proprietors.”

It is also said in the message that since the beginning of the year NBU approved the acquisition of major shareholding for owners in 15 banks, which had evidence of non-transparency, the owners of 11 banks formalized their ownership.
