According to the data of the international organization of motor vehicle producers (OICS), as per results of three quarters the worldwide motor vehicle production has decreased by 0.3%, the press-service of the association of “Ukavtoprom” reports.
From January to September in 43 countries 66.2 million of motor vehicle units were produced, which is by 200 ths less than for the same period of 2014.
Mostly motor cars were produced - about 50 mln units. Such indicator is by 0.3% less than the previous year result.
The production of commercial motor cars made up 13.6 mln units or by 2% more that for the same period of the previous year.
The production volume of heavy trunks made up 2.5 mln units (-10%).
However, it should be noted that since 2011 as per EU decision the European manufactures do not publish data on production of heavy commercial vehicles.
The number of manufactured buses for 9 months decreased to 238 ths. This is by 0.6% less than the previous year indicator.
The overall negative dynamics has been formed by the drops in production volumes in East Asia (-6%) and South America (-19%).
Meanwhile, EU production has demonstrated the growth by 5%, in NAFTA countries the total result has improved by 3% vs. the previous year, the car production on the African continent has increased by 15%.
The People’s Republic of China still remains the leader in production and has produced 17 091 606 of motor vehicle units.
