Today, on the 18th December 2015, Ukraine imposes moratorium for repayment of more than USD 3 billion of the state debt to the Russian Federation, the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk said during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“Today the government of Ukraine imposes moratorium for repayment of the so-called Russian debt”, - said Yatseniuk.
He also added that Ukraine has fulfilled all conditions of all other “sensible lenders”.
“Once more I emphasize that we are ready for legal proceeding with Russian party”, Yatseniuk added.
According to him, the moratorium has been imposed for repayment of loan in the amount of USD 3 billion 75 mln of Russian bonds and USD 507 mln of liabilities of Ukrainian companies of “Yuzhnoe” and “Ukravtodor” to Russian banks.
He emphasized that from 18 December the repayment of these debts is suspended till the agreement on restructuring of these debts and adoption of judicial decision.
