In Ukraine the project of technical assistance of the European Union “The support of implementation of Association Agreement and National transport strategy” for the amount of EUR 3 mln 740 ths, aimed for 2016-2018, has started, Governmental portal reports.
The project will promote the harmonization of legislation and modernization of the transport sector of Ukraine, according to our obligations under EU Association Agreement, noted the Deputy Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Head of Government Office for European Integration Natalia Hnydiuk during the ceremony of opening of the project, which was held on January 15 in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The assistance of the European side will allow updating the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine and bring it into compliance with EU standards.
The Ukrainian side is expected to adapt, implement and apply five priority directives and regulations of the EU in transport sector, strengthen cooperation with European transport agencies, ensure the legal regulation of multimodal transport deliveries, enhance transparency and efficiency of state administration in transport sector, to bring the policy, related to development of national transport network, into conformity with EU transport policy.
Dornier Consulting GmbH (DE), Expertise France (FR), Egis International (FR), Egis-Ukraina (UA) will become the project partners.
