Government should stabilize the economy of the country, Prime Minister states.
The Prime-Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk convenes the Financial Stability Council on the situation with the UAH exchange rate, Кореспондент.net reports.
“I initiate the session of the Financial Economic Stability Council, at which we need to discuss several issues. First of all, this is the issue of currency rate stability. I will not let this happen as in the previous year, when we had to suspend the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to take immediate decisions for stabilization of the currency rate sector”, Yatseniuk said.
The Prime Minister invited to this meeting the Minister of Finance, the Head of the National Bank and the whole economic block. At the meeting, according to Yatseniuk, they should define specific steps on stabilization of the economy of the country and report to the President on this.
The spot USD rate has reportedly shot up in Ukraine. The average USD bank rate is UAH 26.5, exchange rate at exchange offices – more than 27.
