Deputies have endorsed the attraction of €400 mln from EIB and €100 mln from Poland.
The Verkhovna Rada has ratified the Agreement on the Loan of the European Investment Bank, amounting to €400 mln, for modernization of the infrastructure of cities, Correspondent.net reports on its site.
During the session of Rada this decision was endorsed by 261 people’s deputies.
They intend to allocate funds to central and local power authorities as well as local self-government for projects, connected with external lighting, household wastes, enhancing energy efficiency of buildings as well as for projects, connected with heating and supplies of hot water and drinking water.
In addition, Rada has approved the loan of the Polish government of €100 mln for border infrastructure. The draft law has been endorsed by 242 people’s deputies.
The loan is expected for 30 years and implies the use for development of border road infrastructure, development of ports of entry of Ukrainian-Polish border and other projects, approved by the parties.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Finance expects up to $10 billion of financial aid in 2016 from international partners.
