The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law №922-VIII “On Public Procurement”, approved by the Verkhovna Rada on December 25, 2015, the message of the president’s press-service says.
The law stipulates the introduction of electronic procurement system for all public procurement for all goods and services, the cost of which is equal to or exceeds UAH 200 000, for works – equal to or exceeds UAH 1.5 mln (for clients, conducting their activities in separate business areas, the cost of goods and services is equal to or exceeds UAH 1 mln, and for works – equal to or exceeds UAH 5 mln).
In addition, the law ensures the distribution of electronic procurement system within 2016 in two stages: since April 1 – for central executive power bodies and clients, conducting activities in different business areas; since August 1 – for other clients.
The realization of the law will allow to increase the level of rivalry in the sphere of public procurement and decrease the level of corruption.
It should be reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine extended the realization of the public procurement project till December 31, 2016
