The total amount of investments from the beginning of investment since gaining independence made up USD 43.37 bln, UNIAN reports.

The amount of direct foreign investments in Ukraine’s economy in 2015 made up USD 3.76 bln, while the third of funds (30.6%) were invested in production enterprises, 27.3% - in financial and insurance spheres, as it is said in the materials of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, published on the department’s site.

The total amount of investments from the beginning of investment – since gaining independence – as of December 31, 2015, made up USD 43.37 bln.

“Among the main countries-investors, for which 83.0% of the total amount of direct investments account, there are Cyprus (USD 11.7 bln), Netherlands (USD 5.6 bln), Germany (USD 5.4 bln), Russia (USD 3.3 bln), Austria (USD 2.4 bln), Great Britain (USD 1.85 bln),  Virgin Islands (USD 1.7 bln), France (USD 1.5 bln), Switzerland (USD 1.3 bln), Italy (USD 972 mln)”, - as it is said in the materials of the Ministry of Economic Development.

The ten regions, which accumulated the largest amounts of investments, included Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Luhansk, Lviv, Odessa, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Ivano-Frankovsk regions and the city of Kyiv.

The Ministry of Economic Development emphasized than such allocation of investments does not promote the even social and economic development of regions and strengthens the rupture in development of regions.  In addition, in general, as per estimate of the Ministry of Economic Development, Ukraine remains attractive for investments and enough integrated in the global economy.

As UNIAN reported, at the beginning of 2015 the total amount of investments exceeded USD 45 bln. Within 2015 the amount of investments reduced by USD 2.34 bln.

Previously the Head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Aivaras Abromavicius noted that Ukraine expects to attract up to USD 5 bln of direct foreign investments in 2016.
