The minimum gas utility rate will increase up to UAH 5 ths 500 per thousand cubes.
The Head of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NCSREPU) Dmitrii Vovk forecasts the increase of minimum gas utility rate for population and district utility companies by 53%, up to UAH 5.5 ths, VAT inclusive, for thousand cubic meters with UAH 3.6 ths, VAT inclusive, since April 1, UNIAN reports, he informed the journalists for the conferences of the Institute of Adam Smith in Kyiv.
“I think that the upper value will insignificantly decrease, by 10 percent, and the lower value will increase by UAH 5.5 ths, VAT inclusive”, Vovk said.
The minimum gas utility rate for population is set during the heating period for consumers, using gas for heating as well as for district utility companies which provide services on centralized heating supply.
According to Vovk, if the minimum gas utility rate for district utility companies increases up to UAH 5.5 ths for a thousand of cubic meters, the cost of centralized heating supply will increase by 80% per month on average.
The Head of NCSREPU reminded that the social price for gas is set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and as per the previously signed agreement with IMF, till April 1, 75% of the cost of imported gas for population and district utility companies should be achieved.
