Prices on the consumer market of Ukraine in February 2016 versus the previous month have decreased by 0.4%, since the beginning of the year – increased by 0.5%, the State Statistics Service reported.
As it is noted, in February the prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages decreased by 0.7% on the consumer market.
“Eggs decreased in price mostly – by 24.4%. The prices for salo, fruit, meat and meat products, rice decreased by 2.5-0.7%. In the meantime grain products, butter, milk and milk products, margarine increased in price (by 2.7-1.2%)”, - the message said.
In addition, prices for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products decreased by 1.3%, which is connected with the price reduction of tobacco products by 3%. In the meantime, the prices for alcoholic drinks increased by 1.1%.
“The housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices increased by 0.3% mainly due to the increase of sewerage rates (by 2.2%), water supply rates (by 1.9%), rental fees (by 1.0%),” – State Statistics noted.
“Transport prices did not change in general. In the meantime, fuel and lubricants decreased in price by 1.0%, cars and aeronautical services increased in price by 4.2% and 3.8% accordingly”, - the press-service reports.
As it was reported, in January 2016 the inflation of Ukraine accelerated up to 0.9% from 0.7% in December 2015.
