On Tuesday, March 22, Ukraine expects the increase of imports of natural gas from Europe, the press-secretary of PJSC “Ukrtransgas” Maxim Beliavskii posted in his Facebook.
According to him, the volumes can increase from 10.5 to 17.4 mln cubic meters per day. They will increase at the expense of the additional loading of Slovak and Hungarian routes.
“In January 2016 the average daily free capacity at GIS Budintse was about 13 mln cubic meters per day, at GIS Beregdarots – 15.4 mln cubic meters per day, at GIS Hermanovych – 3.1 mln cubic meters per day”, - Beliavskii stated.
He noted that in February 2016 the use of capacity, booked by the clients at international connection points significantly increased.
“Thus, at GIS Budintse about 91.7% from the maximum technical capacity of gas receival was used through this connection point, at GIS Hermanovych the free capacity decreased almost three times and 80% from the maximum technical capacity were used”, - Beliavskii informed.
As it was reported, as of March 14, 9.436 bln cubic meters of gas – the record indicator for last 5 years – were stored in Ukrainian underground gas stores.
