President of Ukraine and US President also talked about the development of strategic partnership and financial aid.
During the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with US colleague Barak Obama, the president’s press-service reports.
Presidents discussed the situation on Donbass and in the Crimea and coordinated efforts for the full implementation of Minsk agreements by Russia.
Chiefs of states also discussed the question of development of strategic partnership between Ukraine and USA.
The specific attention was given to the necessity of the fastest formation of coalition and Ukrainian government, oriented at reforms.
President Obama confirmed the readiness to provide the third tranche of loan guarantees in the amount of USD 1 billion upon the completion of process of formation of Ukrainian government, the message says.
Poroshenko has arrived on a working visit to USA. In Washington the president will participate in the Nuclear Security Summit and in the forum “Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom Continues”.
Previously Poroshenko conducted the meeting with US Vice President Joseph Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry.
