US Department of Agriculture increased the forecast for corn export from Ukraine by 200 ths tons – up to 15.7 mln tons.
In April US Department of Agriculture (USDA) increased the forecast of corn export from Ukraine in the current marketing year (MY, July 2015 – June 2016) by 200 ths. tons versus March forecast, up to 15.7 mln tons, due to the insignificant increase of expected production of this crop by 30 ths. tons, up to 23.33 mln tons, and the reduction of carry-over funds by 170 ths. tons, as it is reported on USDA site, UNIAN reports.
The forecast of the whole grain production has also increased – by 200 ths. tons, up to 60.7 mln tons, in particular, due to the mentioned increase of corn production as well as forage grain - by 140 ths tons, up to 33.39 mln tons and corn – by 20 ths tons, to 27.27 mln tons.
The forecast for wheat export remained unchanged – 15.5 mln tons. Meanwhile, USDA forecasts that Ukraine exports forage grain in the amount of 20.32 mln tons versus 20.19 mln tons as per March forecast.
As UNIAN reports, according to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine (not including the Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russia, and ATO zone) gathered 60.1 mln tons of grains and pulses in 2015, which is by 5.8% less than in 2014.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine forecasts the volume of grain export as per MY results – more than 36 mln tons. In 2014 – 2015 MY this indicator made up 38.4 mln tons.
