For the first quarter 2016 the state budget deficit was UAH 10.57 bln, according to the Ministry of Finance’s data.

Meanwhile, the deficit of the general fund in January-March 2016 was UAH 11.24 bln, while as per results of the previous year’s same period the proficit was UAH 3.74 bln.

In the 1st quarter of 2016 versus the previous year’s same period the state budget revenues increased by 14.1% - up to UAH 129.16, including on the general fund – by 13%, up to UAH 121.43 billion.

In January-March 2016 versus the previous year’s same period the state budget expenditures increased by 28.8% - up to UAH 140.17 bln, including the general fund – by 28.8%, up to UAH 133.78 bln.

As per the Ministry of Finance’s data, in the 1st quarter of 2016 there were no deductions to state budget from the National Bank, while for the previous year’s same period UAH 5.45 bln were directed to the budget. Also, in the 1st quarter of 2016 there were no proceeds from sales of licenses of 3G connection, while for the same period of the previous year they were UAH 6.16 bln.

The Ukraine’s state budget deficit in 2015 was UAH 45.15 billion, including on the general fund – UAH 38.86 billion, while for 2014 – UAH 72.03 bln and UAH 55.02 bln respectively.

The state budget 2016 was approved with the maximum size of deficit UAH 83.69 bln, or 3.7% of the forecast GDP.

It was previously reported that during the development of the draft state budget 2016 the Cabinet of Ministers decreased revenues and expenditures by UAH 6.3 bln.
