The Ukrainians will be able to withdraw some cash from their cards and deposit cash to them while making purchase payment at the cash-desk of all shops. The draft law, stipulating such innovations, will be registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in early May, Andrei Zhurzhii, the Deputy Chairman of the VRU Tax and Customs Policy Committee said during the yesterday’s conference, Judicial and Legal Newspaper reports.
“The draft law is aimed at regulating some legislative obstacles, which are existing today”, - Andrei Zhurzhii noted.
The initiative will provide the card holder with the opportunity to withdraw some money while making purchase payments at any cash-desk. In addition, the client will obtain an opportunity to deposit cash to the card also at the cash desk, for example, transfer some change to it. Thus, Ukrainian retail traders can become the points, where cash holders have access to cash, as well as the infrastructure of access to using payment cards will be expanded.
“We are confident that we should reduce the number of cash settlements in Ukraine, if we want to move forward”, the deputy assures.
