NBU Governor has boasted of success of disclosure of the banks’ ownership structures, Hubs reports.
As of today, the transparency of banking system makes up 98%, - Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Hontareva stated.
“Currently the level of transparency of the banking system is 98%. Only several banks have not submitted the data on its owners”, - she said on the annual researcher’s conference “Transformation of activities of central banks”.
In the meantime, the Governor of Central Bank reminded that the situation was quite different two years ago.
“At that time 27% of the banking system was not transparent, we knew about the structure of owners of several banks”, Hontareva stated.
