The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade urges the interested exporters to put their questions to United
Arab Emirates trade policy prior to its review in the World Trade Organization on June 1-3.
The relevant message was published on the Ministry of Social Policy site, UNIAN reports.
According to the message, the Ministry of Economic Development has prepared written questions from Ukraine
regarding the procedure of accreditation of centers for acquiring the right of certification of their products (halal)
and ensuring the possibility of their export to United Arab Emirates. In addition, Ukraine expressed concerns
regarding the annulment of accreditation of “Alraid” Halal Research and Certification Center and non-recognition of
the issued halal certificates.
According to UNIAN, on February 29 Ukraine received from UAE Ministry of Environment and Water the permission
for supplying beef, mutton and chicken to this country. In addition, Ukraine conducts negotiations about receiving
the permission for export of dairy products, fish and eggs to UAE.
As per Minagroprod’s data, in 2015 the agricultural export structure of Ukraine looked the following: 47% of supplies
fell for Asia, for EU – 26%, for Africa – 13%, for CIS – 11% (including Russia – about 2%), for other countries – 3%.
