The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the concept of creation and functioning of the automated system “Single Point of Contact”, simplifying customs procedures and preventing access of law enforcement officers to customs inspections, Economic Truth reports.

The relevant decision was approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 25.

“Single Point of Contact” is the electronic system of data exchange, simplifying and decreasing the number of customs procedures. The information about the cargo, delivered through customs, will automatically appear on customs points and in all control services.

Thus, the concept of “single point of contact” provides that the customs, sanitary and epidemiological, veterinary and sanitary, phytosanitary, ecological and other types of control will be exercised through electronic data exchange without paper documents, seals and stamps.

It should be reminded that at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers the Prime Minister promised to pass the decision, which will draw a line under the so-called “nut mafia”.

On May 11 Groisman assigned the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and other relevant departments to submit for approval on the next meeting of government the resolution, in which the package of measures on removing violations on Ukrainian customs with export of nuts.

As it was reported, SFS transferred the draft law “On Introduction of Amendments to Tax Service (regarding taxation of certain transactions with products of plant origin)”.

SFS proposes to introduce amendments to the Tax Code for liquidation of “nuts scheme”. More often such schemes are applied on transactions with products of plant origin – nuts, mushrooms and berries.
