NBU has permitted financial institutions to respond to currency fluctuations, Hubs reports.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) allowed banks to change the rates of purchase and sale of currency throughout the business day, - the regulator’s press-office reported, quoting the regulator’s resolution №341 dated June 7.
“Banks and financial institutions, exchanging currencies, may change the rates of purchase and sale of foreign currency within the operational (working) day. This will allow decreasing risks, which may occur as a result of changes of market situation throughout the day, and, as a result, decreasing spread between the rates of purchase and sale of foreign currency”, - NBU reports.
NBU also permitted to set different rates of sale and purchase of foreign currency at cash-desks of banks (financial institutions), their standalone units, currency exchange offices, which are located at different addresses.
“As a result, banks and financial institutions will be able to better respond to regional peculiarities of currency market”, the message says.
