United Kingdom may officially withdraw from EU in late 2018, Correspondent.net reports.
United Kingdom may officially withdraw from the European Union in late 2018, Newly-Appointed Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union David Davis said, Bloomberg reports.
He also considers that Britain should “take a break” before starting official negotiations on the Brexit.
According to Davis, this can happen “before or at the beginning of the next year”.
“The strategy of negotiations should be correctly developed and serious consultations need to be conducted before it”, he emphasized, noting that the official withdrawal from EU is possible in late 2018.
On the day before, Foreign Minister Phillip Hammond stated that the process of withdrawal of United Kingdom from the European Union may stretch over six years.
