Kyiv conducts active trade with China and Vietnam.
After losing the Russian market for Ukrainian manufacturers for the last two years, Ukraine actively takes on Asian markets, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Yulia Kovaliv said to 5 Kanal.
“Currently we are actively taking on new markets. And if in Indonesia and Malaysia these were official visits of the President and our team, then this year we plan to conduct joint commission with China and in late October we propose to conduct joint commission with Vietnam”, - Kovaliv said.
Talking about the visits of President Petro Poroshenko to Indonesia and Malaysia, the deputy minister stated that they became the window to Asian markets.
“Currently our trade relations are mainly limited to the trade with agricultural products. And it is much more interesting for us; today we will do it – we will export products with higher added value, products of agricultural processing as well as products of machinery manufacturing, cooperation in the defense sector. I.e. in fact we opened a window to Asian markets”, - the deputy minister noted.
