During the working trip to Donetsk region President Petro Poroshenko visited Azovstal Metallurgical Complex, where he familiarized with the operation of blast furnace after capital repair.
While communicating with the company staff the President noted that the reconstruction of the blast furnace started in a week, after pro-Russian militants left the city.
According to the President, the new blast furnace is effective, more productive and has better ecological standards.
The President emphasized the importance of attraction of investments, which will also allow raising social standards and creating new jobs. “The national and foreign investors vote for Ukrainian future with their hryvnia, dollar and euro”, he noted.
Petro Poroshenko also emphasized the importance of successful experience of realization of investment potential and Azovstal contributes to it.
The President reminded that in 2014 and in early 2015, the enterprise faced challenges in operation due to the armed conflict in Donbass – the logistics was destroyed, it was not possible to provide the enterprise with raw materials. Currently the situation has changed and the enterprise is operating. “I am confident that we will develop in such a way: peace, efficient state, newly created jobs”, Petro Poroshenko said.
