Google launches notifications emailing for Android users, which contain information about changing the device settings – for example, changing the search widget or deactivation of pre-installed application – vc.ru informs.

The notification contains the information link how to install applications from developers, different from Google, deactivate pre-installed application of the company, to change the standard search in Google Chrome, to set other search widget and change the position of icons.

All these requirements were listed in the FAS order, which was made after the authority recognized this company to be the violator of antimonopoly regulation on the case, initiated upon Yandex complaint. In addition, the company should remedy violations, which FAS accused it of – in particular, to stop the device producers to ban pre-installation of services of third party developers.

Google representatives did not respond to the question of vc.ru, if this emailing evidences about the fulfillment of all FAS requirements and where you may obtain such information, not receiving the notification in Android. FAS also informed that they are preparing for conducting administrative investigation of non-fulfillment of the order.

On September 21, 2016, FAS Chief Igor Artemiev declared that the authority is ready to impose fine on Google each two weeks until the company fulfills the requirements, specified in the order. On September 13, FAS refused the company on prolongation of the period of fulfillment of requirements, which ended on August 29, 2016.

FAS recognized Google to be guilty of violation of antimonopoly legislation upon Yandex complaint in autumn 2015. For this violation, the company was fined for 438 mln rubles. The fine, amounting up to 500 ths rubles, could be imposed for the violation of periods for performance of the company’s order.
