In 2016, the government allocated UAH 5.7 billion for subsidies, reimbursing the expenses of families for payment of housing and utility services in Ukraine. In comparison to 2015, the amount of subsidies increased 2.4 times – UAH 3.358 bln, as it is evidenced by the data of State Statistics Service, Finance.UA reports.
7.677 mln Ukrainian families obtain subsidies. According to the State Statistics, the number of subsidy grantees increased by 42.4% vs. 2015.
The consumers, whose expenses for “utility services” do not exceed 15% of monthly income, can obtain subsidy. The Ukrainians can also pay for heating bills by installments.
The average amount of subsidy of one family for payment of “utility” services in December 2016 increased by 25.1% vs December 2015 and was equal to UAH 1.365 ths.
The highest average amount of subsidies in December 2016 was fixed in Ternopil and Volyn regions – UAH 2.037 ths and UAH 1.702 ths, and the lowest – in Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions – UAH 1.103 ths and UAH 609.5.
In 2015, the total amount of subsidies for payment of housing and utility services was UAH 2.345 bln; it increased 6.7 times vs 2014.
In its statistics, the State Statistics does not take into account the indicators of the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea and Sevastopol and some part of ATO area in the east of the country. The data can also be updated on Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
