The lots of liquefied gas, previously seized by SSSU, were unblocked on Monday, February 20, CEO of Poltava company Avtotrans Sergei Mikhailik said to OilNews, Economic Truth reports.
According to him, the State Security Service of Ukraine sent the corresponding letter to the Energy Customs Office, which started releasing for free circulation the cargo, standing idle for the third month in a row.
“Only those cars, which received certification in respect to their good operating condition from Ukrzaliznytsia, underwent customs clearance. Others are in question yet”, Mykhailyk said.
He also noted that the representatives of importing companies, which appeared to be in the blockade, had meeting with First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv. The results and details of negotiations will be reported later.
It should be reminded that on February 6, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade banned (since March 18) the import of the liquefied gas to 16 large Ukrainian companies and 8 non-resident firms.
Previously, Deputy Sergei Leshchenko said that SSSU blocks the process of import of the liquefied gas of some major players with the purpose of bringing the monopoly player on the market and “laundering” money for next elections.
