The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine endorsed in the second reading the draft law №4334 “On Introduction of Amendments to the Law On Heating” regarding the stimulation of the heating energy production from alternative energy sources”. 238 VR’s deputies voted for the document from the second time (first – 222 deputies), Finance.ua reports.
In particular, the document stipulates the approval of the procedure of tariff stimulation of the heating energy production from alternative sources; the delegation of authorities from the National Commission, carrying out public regulation in the energy and utility services sphere, to local self-governing authorities on setting the tariffs and local administrations regarding the licensing of business activities on the production of heating energy on the plants (except for central heating and power plants, thermal power plants and cogeneration plants) with the use of alternative energy sources.
