The payment of pensions through Russian banks will be suspended.
The Pension Fund decided to suspend payment of pensions through banks with the Russian state capital, according to the press office of the fund, New Time reports.
The decision was passed in order to fulfill the order of the President of Ukraine №63/2017 On Application of Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (sanctions).
“As the result, the Pension Fund of Ukraine suspends the funding of Russian bank branches, while the pensioners will be offered to use alternative options for obtaining pensions”, according to the message.
The decision refers to Sberbank, VS Bank, Prominvestbank, VTB Bank and BM Bank.
It should be reminded that the National Bank of Ukraine suggested that NSDC should impose sanctions against the banks with Russian state capital in Ukraine.
On March 16, Petro Poroshenko approved the sanctions against five Russian banks for one year.
These banks are prohibited from withdrawing funds beyond offshore.
From March 23, the National Bank of Ukraine enforced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the imposition of sanctions against Ukrainian banks with the Russian state capital.
