About thousand law enforcement officials are conducting searches and urgent investigative actions.

The law enforcement officers exposed the scheme of tax evasion and illegal withdrawal of large amounts of money abroad, including for financing terrorism. Currently, the searches are being continued, General Prosecutor Yuri Lutsenko said, Correspondent.net reports.

“The pretrial investigation established that from 2012 until today, the citizen of RF Kesaev, against whom the sanctions were imposed in the form of the ban of withdrawal of funds from Ukraine abroad, is the actual owner of the monopoly distributor of tobacco products of Megapolis Ukraine LLC (now – Tedis Ukraine)”, wrote Lutsenko in his Facebook page.

He noted that in spite of the ban of NSDC and NBU 2.5 bln were withdrawn through the accounts of transit countries from 2015 and 2017 from Ukraine.

According to Lutsenko, “the persons, who all their decisions approve with the members of the management board of the Russian Degtiarev Plant PJSC, one of the arms producer and supplier to terrorist organizations «ДНР» and «ЛНР», were appointed on the key positions in Tedis LLC under the influence of Kesaev”. 

The General Prosecutor noted that the firm also obtained support from certain government bodies for holding the monopoly position.

“Now, 1000 law enforcement officers are conducting searches and other urgent investigative actions”, Lutsenko added. 

As Correspondent.net reported, last week GPOU found the embezzlement during the preparation for EURO-2012. The oversight agency conducted dozens of searches.
