Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval Volodymyr Lavrenchuk said that he is ready to head the National Bank of Ukraine, BusinessCensor reports quoting KyivPost.
Lavrenchuk was asked: “You were named as the candidate for the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine to replace Valeria Gontareva, who resigns in May. Are you interested in it?”
“The answer is yes, when it is time”, Lavrenchuk replied.
As BusinessCensor reported, Sergei Tigipko is named by mass media as one more candidate for the post of NBU Governor.
As reported, previously NBU Governor Valeria Gontareva reported that she hopes for the appointment of technocrat as the next regulator’s head.
Governor of the National Bank Valeria Gontareva decided to resign from May 10. She occupied this post from June 2014.
