All Ukrainian cargo inspected on the border
Custom House of the Russian Federation has officially confirmed enhanced customs regime with Ukraine. From 14 August all goods arriving into the Customs Union are subject to 100% inspection. This was stated by customs officials in Bryansk, Belgorod and Voronezh regions, LIHA BusinessInform informs.
«Under new rules, when entering into the customs territory the Customs Union, the carrier must present in the checkpoint the proof of payment of customs duties in addition to the TIR Carnet», the spokesman of Belgorod customs Elena Shlyakhova explained.
Representatives of the Russian customs say that there is no queuing at the checkpoints, as all inspectors are engaged in order to speed up the procedure.
Bryansk customs representative said that the regional checkpoints operate as usual, and only one of the customs posts - Fokinskoy - deals with clearance of rail freight. She did not mention any problems in that regard. International Automobile Border-crossing Point Troyebortne experiences queues, but this is an ordinary situation», the Bryansk customs says.
Also the Bryansk railway department’s press service confirmed the clustering of trains on the border, but stressed that the situation is not critical.
