During the voting for the candidates to NABU’s Public Control Council, the attempted interference with its process was observed.
During the voting on NABU’s official site for the candidates for the Bureau’s Public Control Council, the attempts of interference with its process were observed, UA1 reports.
Ukrainian News reports, quoting the Monitoring Committee, “The Monitoring Committee fixed that the voting was blocked from 01:20 pm to 01:37 pm, from 02:25 pm to 03:31 pm, from 04:36 pm to 05:32 pm, from 05:37 pm to 06:00 pm. Such situation can definitely be indicative of the attempts of interference with the voting process in order to impact the competition results. The reasons for the continuous blocking can be the so-called artificial voting, when due to the attempts of simultaneous inclusion of many robots into the system, the system just breaks down. The voting halting could be caused for the launch of special meters, which scored points for necessary candidates”.
Meanwhile, it is emphasized: NABU explained the voting halting with “technical problems of the telecommunication provider” – “However, the Monitoring Committee noted that if the provider really had this problem, the whole NABU’s portal would not work, not just one voting page. Such interference with the system is impossible without consent of the owner of the site, where the voting is conducted”.
