The agreement becomes null and void on July 1.
The Russia’s Gazprom terminated its contract with Ukraine’s Gaztrazit on fuel transportation.
The contract was concluded on September 2002. Now, the parties decided to terminate all its rights and obligations on July 1.
The Ukrainian Gaztranzit operates the mainline branch Ananyev-Tiraspol-Izmail, which is used for fuel delivery to the Balkans and Turkey. The gas pipeline capacity exceeds 21 bln cubic meters per year.
The Russian company owns more than 40% of shares in Gaztranzit, and namely these shares were seized in late May. Gazprom claims that they will not leave this question unattended.
