The World Bank Group’s mission arrived in Kyiv to assess the progress of reforms, impacting the ease of doing business, according to the press office of the Ministry of Economic Development, EP reports.
“On July 3, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Maxim Nefedov met with World Bank economists Maxim Yavorsky and Tigran Parvanian. The World Bank mission arrived in Kyiv to assess the progress of reforms in the ease of doing business”, as said in the message.
The mission will work in Ukraine during one week. The visit program will include the meetings with the private sector for assessing the practical implementation of reforms, declared by Ukraine this year (in business registration, construction, international trade, property registration, protection of minority shareholders and tax payment).
“Such missions also visit other countries. That is why today we have enough unique opportunity to demonstrate the actual state of things and how reforms work in practice”, Nefedov said.
According to him, the mission representatives will meet with the Ministry of Justice, the State Geodesic Cadaster, the State Architectural and Construction Supervision Authority, National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission, and analyze the actual state of business, considering all the components, which are taken into account while forming Doing Business Rating.
The results of meetings in Kyiv will be included in the annual WB’s Doing Business Report 2018.
