Signing the agreement is good sign for business, U.S. Ambassador believes
Signing of the Association Agreement and creation of free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union will increase the amount of investment of American companies in Ukraine, said U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt during a meeting on Friday with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, the press service of the Cabinet informs.
«The signing of the Association Agreement is an extremely important factor that will have an impact on U.S. companies, and the business will start investing in Ukraine. It will be a good signal for business», said the Ambassador.
He also added that many American companies are willing to invest and do business in Ukraine.
At the same time Pyatt said that the United States expect that the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will be signed during the Vilnius summit of the Eastern Partnership.
Mykola Azarov, in his turn, announced that Ukraine continues to consistently prepare for the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
«Ukraine is preparing for a summit in Vilnius. For us it is a historical event that sums up a whole phase of our development. The President and the Government consistently implement the policy for European integration of Ukraine», Azarov said.
